Quite a tragedy occurred last Friday in the Elmdale neighborhood, several miles north of the city. The four year old son of Stillman Goff was playing in the barn yard of his grandfather, Edward Goff, at milking time. Two or three of the women of the place were there also and finally several of the men came up with the horses from the clover field. One of the horses ran across the lot to the stable and in so doing frightened a large cow, which lunged forward and ran directly over the child. She stepped on his body and her great weight crushed the life out of him in an instant. When the little one was picked up he was quite dead. - kz

Interment was at Oak Hill. Roy was a bright boy and loved by all who knew him. His parents have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement - s
